Aussie Nails Monday - Inspired by clothing

Just a quick post today, my nails for Aussie Nails monday. This week the theme was inspired by clothing.

I was inspired by the gradient on this top I bought last year, if only my top was as bright as my nails! Click here for a tutorial for the gradient technique, for this mani I did step 1 to Step 3.

The colours I used for this mani:

Chin Glaze - Im with the lifeguard (green)
China Glaze - Sunkissed (yellow)
China Glaze - Orange you Hot? (orange)
Barry M - White, as a base colour underneath the gradient.
*All these colours are available and in stock now if you like the look of them.

I used my Sugar Bubbles 005 plate to stamp the lines using Konad Special polish in white. This is one of those images that I would put into the experienced stampers only box. It was incredibly hard to get straight, but the image picked up perfectly and applied like a dream, mostly diagonally but that was user error!

Aussie Nails Monday - Blue

Just a quick one today. Blue nails for Aussie Nails Monday. If you are just getting into DIY nail art joining in on group challenges is a great way to do designs or use colours that you normally wouldn't use. It pushes you out of your comfort zone which is a good way to stretch yourself. Read on for the polishes and plates I used.

China Glaze - Water You Waiting For (blue glitter)
OPI - Samoan Sand (nude)
Kleancolors - Metallic Aqua
Blue Ripple - We have 10 colour packs of the ripples available from the markets. They will be up in the online shop very soon for those who aren't local.

Water You Waiting For is such a gorgeous glitter. It applies smoothly without bald patches. This is two coats with topcoat.

I stamped using plate W111 from the Winstonia Stamping Collection. We have a few sets available if you like this design. The rest of the images in the collection are equally awesome.  Ill hopefully get them all photographed soon so you can see the entire collection. The originality and quality of the plates deserves a big thumbs up.
