Violet, you're turning....violet! Sorry couldn't help myself. Today is day 6 of the 31 day nail art challenge. I lurve day 6, because purple is my favourite colour! Yippee! This is my hands down fav mani of the challenge so far. I cannot get enough of these new Pixie Dusts, the colours are so vibrant, its like glitter for grown ups....mmmm fancy!
Today's design features:
- Zoya - Carter (violet Pixie)
- China Glaze - Liquid Leather (black)
- OPI - Can't let go (dusty purple Liquid Sand for index gradient and thumb reverse gradient)
- The purple ombre was done by mixing OPI - Funky Dunky with Barry M - White. I mixed it 3 times with less white in each version as the purple darkened.
I was inspired to do this mani by @HeyNiceNails. To do the claw/teeth shapes I painted them on with a small brush in white first. After they were dry I then painted over them with the custom purples I had created. I made sure to overlap into the black a bit so that you couldn't see any white sticking out. I then used a small brush to define the shapes and clean up where necessary. I really, really, really love this design and will definitely be doing it again with other colours. Until tomorrow..........
